Futurama

Cubert's Rants

Bendless Love

Check!: How is it that of all the things checked in the ship, the most vital piece, the "L" unit, is not covered by the pre-flight checklist.

Solution by Kyle Williams: Since the L unit is an internal unit and the ship is inside a locked building there would be no reason for anyone to check.

Good Work!: How could Bender have bent Amy's javelin, without breaking it!? That'd take a lot of skill (which everyone knows Bender doesn't have).

My Shrinkie!: When Zoidberg finds his un-bent slinky, why is it so short? Shouldn't it be many metres long?

Inefficient Production: During Bender's birth flashback, what is the point of the "Bending School" that Bender is connected to? Isn't that incredibly wasteful, when everything could have easily been hard-wired in. Also, what happened to the Bending College that Bender said he went to?

Fired Again?: The boss of the Bending factory has been seen previously as an amusement machine technician, a trucker, and as a construction worker, amongst other things. Can't he just find one job and stick to it?

Solution by Kyle Williams: Given Sal's extreme laziness, it's not surprising that he has been fired again.

Exploding Slinky?: While an intentional joke, how is it that Zoidberg's slinky explodes and lights on fire after he repairs it and tries to use it again?

Good Shot Sir!: At the carnival, Bender is able to knock out the sideshow worker with a baseball, when he couldn't even hit the fairly large size stack of bottles?

I Just Love This Place!: Why does Bender always take everyone out to Elzar's, even when Elzar has been mean to them many times before? Doesn't he know anywhere else? Likewise, why does he take Anglene out to the Hip Joint, the only club that has been seen in all of Futurama?

Cover For Me!: When Bender and Anglene stay behind at the Hip Joint, you can see the janitor cleaning up, but that isn't the janitor at The Hip Joint that was seen the last time the club was shown, and there didn't seem to be more than one janitor.

Solution by Kyle Williams: They could have hired a new janitor.

False Advertising!: How can Bender bend the "unbendable" girder off Flexo at the end? He had enough trouble trying to bend the loaf of bread at Elzar's!

Quick Repairs!: When Bender is back at work the next morning after bending the unbendable girder, all the damage caused to him when he did that (such as "Little Bender" blowing up), is suddenly gone, but he surely didn't have time to have repairs done.

Short Guy Fetish?: Supposedly after Bender saves Flexo, Flexo and Anglene have sex there and then. Not only does that make no sense because they are both robots, but Flexo has been crushed, so how is it supposed to work!? (then again, I don't think I want to know)
